Somewhat amazingly, the Coconut Coolouts are currently only booked for two shows through the end of August. During this upcoming lag in our much-loved stage antics we hope to put paid to some long overdue studio time.
The plan is to record the "Nerd Holocaust" single ("Nerd Holocaust" b/w "Messed up Man") and what we hope to be our second long player, which I'm tentatively calling Hot Nights in the Banana Hammock. This is to protest the fact that we didn't use that name on our last one. Recording is to be done in the new Malabar Studios with the legendary Rainbow Rags manning the board. Wish us luck.
Here are the summer's remaining live dates:
- Saturday, July 19th at the Watertown Pub, Anacortes, Washington in conjunction with What the Heck Fest and Shipwreck Day. We're playing with Triumph of Lethargy Skinned Alive to Death. Should be fun!
- Wednesday, August 20th at the Funhouse in Seattle with The Wax Museums!
After that, you may not see us until fall.
